what ever it takes to reduce the resistance <will increase the
efficiency and DECREASE the load on the sub-woofer amp>

you should reduce the resistance as low as possible...getting
as close to 2ohms w/out going UNDER.

you of COURSE should be planning to use the 1000/1 do drive
those subs...and make SURE you run GOOD 0/1 guage wire
from the battery to a power distribution block, close to the
the 1000/1 amp, then run the maximum gauge wire from
the dist. block to the amp (4ga)...

and do the same for the speaker wires...maximum gauge size (8ga)
fromt he amp to the speakers.

you should also use a good capacitor between the amp
and the power cable (as close to the amp as possible)
i would NOT run less than a 1.0uf capacitor...in fact w/ that
amp id suggest nothing smaller than a 1.5uf cap.

if the batteries and alternator in the car/truck are not in GREAT
shape they will potentially be KILLED by those amps and speakers...
it might be worth it to consider an isolated battery w/ this system...
remember youre dealing w/ 1400 watts (RMS)

i SERIOUSLY doubt a STOCK (OE) alternator will be able to handle
this load w/OUT causing a SERIOUS increase in load....

the price of 20' of good 0/1 gauge wire will not be cheap...but you have
the makings of a GREAT system...DONT SKIMP now.

shouldnt be a problem...just keep in mind you dont wanna
restrict the COOLING...keep those black fins (heat sink) CLEAR so they
get MAXIMUM air/cooling.

to protect the wires feeding in and outta the amp you might consider
mounting it on TOP of the sub box & then build a COVER that will help
HIDE the wires...but again try NOT to restict the cooling.

this might give you some ideas....
