Guys i need help quick. Im tdy in wichita falls texas and just went out to get a carwash. As i was exiting, i noticed i had no power steering (had the radio up). I pull over and try to restart and it just cranks and cranks. I have no abnormal dash lights. What do i do?

CPS?

If not that, maybe you got water in your IDM? My bet would be on the CPS...

if the tach doesn't move when cranking, CPS

if no "Wait to Start" light, check the #30 fuse in the dash..
if it pops as soon as you hit the key, unplug the fuel bowl heater.
if it still blows, your IDM got wet, shorted out and you're hosed...

i do have the wait to start light. No rpms when cranking.

What do you mean if it pops when you hit the key?

Cps

If your sensor is black and the bracket is gold then your truck is still running the older recalled cam position sensor, it should be a silver bracket with a grey sensor, the updated one. JL means if the fuse blows....

hes referring to the fuse popping again..which means your fuel bowl heater is bad.

as far as the rpm's when cranking...you wont see that cause your tach read's 0 until the motor is running...i think they switched over to this style in '02.

yep...no sure fire way to test the cps. just go buy one and replace it and see how it goes...

you'll need a 10mm socket and a little oil to coat the new o-ring.
