my truck was also leaking the past couple weeks. makeing my clutch slip like no tomorrow. found that the 4 torque head screws on the back of the filter bowl assm were loose. boggled my mind. haha
ok right after i posted the internet died on me. figures.. the rubber boot on the driveshaft slip yoke is pretty squashed. I did measure both axels and the d50 is 13 inches from diff cover to the back of the yoke. the d60 is 14 inches (about) so yea i guess when i get some time im gunna take it...
just last weekend i swaped the front d50 (F250) axel for a d60 (F350). The ball joints were going and i thought what the hell its bigger!! Apparently they also tell me that im hard on stuff so upgrading is in my best interest.
my question.. Is the front driveshaft on a F350 shorter that a...
i did it about a month ago. not a noticeable diff to me, but the install was not hard, just a few new scratches on my four arm, usual. it might have a little more pep but not for sure
