I spoke to the guys at my local ford dealer and they said that there is a kit by mbrp that will get rid of that y tip on the exhaust. It's a boot on kit and its not a warranty killer. Does anyone know what they are talking about?
I'm going home for the holidays and its about 1100 miles, any recommendations when it comes to driving habits when going for long distances without stopping? And also should i let the engine idle for a few minutes prior to shutting down after extended driving like that?
Thanks for the quick response. The only reason i ask is because with my 6.0l, The oild was golden for at least 8000 miles. But then again I put 2 qts of Lucas in there.
I only have 4800 miles on the truck, but recently i towed 3420lbs for 1100 miles straight from south texas to florida. Is it normal for the oil to be jet black already? Other than that tow, its my everyday driver.
1) Simple...Can I later add the upfitter switches?
2) Has anyone read or heard what the best thing I can do for my new 6.7 without voiding the warranty, whether its additives, etc.?
I had the infamous 6.0 for 2 years, then sadly had to trade it in due to the many problems for a 2012 Ford Escape, after 9 months with that, i really started to miss the truck, so i went with my gut and bought the 6.7 XLT crew. Holy **** this truck is awesome! I've been averaging about 18 mpg...
I had traded in my '04 F250 last november for an Escape (I know, but i couldn't afford a new diesel at the time), but this fall im looking at getting a new 6.7, but im already hearing stories that the engine is having problems. I am not going to tune it or do anything to it, its going to remain...
Im looking to up my performance on my 6.0l. currently i removed my egr, i have a cold air intake, a 4" exhaust with the kitty delete. Im looking to go to the next step like a tuner or an air dog system. My truck is my everyday driver, and mainly long distance. Will any of this cause me to worry...
My 6.0l will not start in freezing weather at all, I replaced my glow plug module, glow plugs, ICP sensor and cam sensor, and it did not solve the problem. I narrowed it down to the injectors, will HSS have a good chance at solving my problem?
