The limiting of boost is caused by the EGR delete. You stated you recently got an SCT? Did you have the custom tune done to ignore the EGR? If not, it will limit your boost to 20-21. Finally Added Edge Tuner
To those that state edge guarantess a toasted transmission that is just not true. I have 115,000 miles on my truck with the tuner on the truck since 20,000 miles. Question too much oil on dip stick
The 6.4l specifically has a problem with the dpf system. Fuel makes its way back into the oiling system during the exhaust stroke when in regeneration. This causes fuel in the oil. Fan is working. It comes on when temp is 210 on coolant temp and 208 with oil temp. I know 210 isn't as bad as it could get. I have owned the truck since new. Fordoor, my boost numbers are 20-22 under hard acceleration. 5 psi driving around at 65 mph with cruise control set. There is no lack of power. If anything it seems the truck has more power. updates Well, I know it has been a long time since an update. Sorry about that, on the road a lot. Anyway the FICM turned out to be the culprit. Fan kickin temp?
I would recommend you keep an eye on your coolant level in the reservoir. I had 10 degrees seperation between my coolant temp and my oil temp. I was losing coolant as well. Hot oil & Antifreeze smell out of vents
Yeah taking a closer look at your engine coolant temp to oil temp your spread is way to far apart. Ford stated no more than 15 degrees separation between the two. I recommend you get that looked at asap.- dmcvey_1999
