    FICM code

The limiting of boost is caused by the EGR delete. You stated you recently got an SCT? Did you have the custom tune done to ignore the EGR? If not, it will limit your boost to 20-21. I know this because prior to doing an actual EGR delete I simply unplugged the EGR valve and had the same...

    Finally Added Edge Tuner

To those that state edge guarantess a toasted transmission that is just not true. I have 115,000 miles on my truck with the tuner on the truck since 20,000 miles. I run level two when towing 10,000 lbs. and daily drive in level 3. If you know anybody that knows me, I do not baby my truck...

Question too much oil on dip stick

The 6.4l specifically has a problem with the dpf system. Fuel makes its way back into the oiling system during the exhaust stroke when in regeneration. This causes fuel in the oil. I read up on this when I was looking at buying a 6.4l. You need to get that truck into the dealership and make...

    6.0 liter GOOD VS BAD

6.0l reliability I would say to the original OP read, read, and read some more. There are problems with the 6.0l such as the headgaskets, egr problems etc. It comes down to how comfortable are you with working on your own vehicle. I have 105,000 miles on my truck. It is an 06 F250 lariat...

High engine oil temp and coolant temps

Sorry guys just getting back on. The truck made it fine down to Charleston. Going down the highway at 75 miles an hour the truck reached 205 engine oil temps with 68 degree ambient temperature. The truck is following ambient temperature. When I was in an area with 62 degree temps the engine...

High engine oil temp and coolant temps

Fan is working. It comes on when temp is 210 on coolant temp and 208 with oil temp. I know 210 isn't as bad as it could get. I have owned the truck since new. Normally around town without pulling a load I would run about 185. I have only heard the fan kick on in the past when pulling 10,000...

High engine oil temp and coolant temps

Fordoor, my boost numbers are 20-22 under hard acceleration. 5 psi driving around at 65 mph with cruise control set. There is no lack of power. If anything it seems the truck has more power. I tried disconnecting the EGR today to see if this would help. I figured seeing as it lowers overall...

High engine oil temp and coolant temps

Alright, I have tried searching and searching and can't quite come up with the answer. Here is what is going on. I have a 2006 F250 with the 6.0l diesel. I have just over 101K on it. I have an edge tuner that I have had on the truck since 20K. Lately I have seen both my coolant temp and my...

coolent coming out of degas tank cap

coolant gas cap puking hold the phone here guys. I respect the knowledge of the guys on this board but I think we are kind of jumping the gun here. It is possible he could have bad head gaskets or he could have a bad egr cooler. Both will cause the same type of symptoms. I had a bad egr...

    What in the heck

updates Well, I know it has been a long time since an update. Sorry about that, on the road a lot. Anyway the FICM turned out to be the culprit. In the end it tripped codes for all eight injectors with the truck running. Also managed to take out the egr cooler, oil cooler, and egr valve...

    Fan kickin temp?

I would recommend you keep an eye on your coolant level in the reservoir. I had 10 degrees seperation between my coolant temp and my oil temp. I was losing coolant as well. It turned out my EGR cooler was shot and oil cooler had to be rebuilt. On my truck at slow speeds with engine coolant...

    dtc 0603 help please

The CEL was for 0603 FICM and the codes for all 8 injectors low. I just wanted to clarify.

    dtc 0603 help please

po603 I had the same 0603 code. The code appeared for approximately 6 months. I initially saw it during the cold winter months on first morning start. I could clear the code after the truck had been running for a few minutes and it would not appear for the rest of the day. At that time it...

Hot oil & Antifreeze smell out of vents

Yeah taking a closer look at your engine coolant temp to oil temp your spread is way to far apart. Ford stated no more than 15 degrees separation between the two. I recommend you get that looked at asap.
