    CRACK, Cruise control stopped working

    Pretty much sums it up. Turned the wheel, heard a crack/snap noise, and now, the lights on the cruise buttons are out, and the cruise control isn't working. Any ideas? What broke? How can I fix it?

    Yes... This is the part that I wasn't sure of. Is there really that much clearance between the baffle and the rotating crank? The GP is at least 1/4". This is really what I was hoping to do. I just don't want a $3,000 engine de/re to turn into a $10,000 new engine on the off chance...

    Just my two cents, the guys saying compression are probably headed downthe right path, but I'm still curious about plugs and relays. Have you jumped your relay (just run a jumper between both posts) to see if it starts easier afterwards? I've bought bad parts from the auto parts guys before...

    Question Tricks to change the Water pump?

    You'll need special tools to remove the fan. You'll also want to consider replacing the water outlet riser while you're in there (to the upper radiator) because it is thin, chincey sheet metal and once I took mine off, I couldn't get it to seal again. Good luck.
