Had it done last week. Nothing you will notice. I was told it was to make the gauges and sensors more sensitive and accurate. :lmao They should rename this truck "Super Doody".
I believe the overwhelming response is going to be "no". I have 10k miles to go until my warranty is up, and that entire exhaust from the turbo back is the first thing to go! I have been saving for two years for a complete Spartan kit, and can't wait for that day to arrive!!
I've had them for a year now. Low beams and fog lights are great. High beams still suck. Must be the reflector shape in the stock buckets. I added auxiliary lights mounted to the front bumper. No more worries.
I had a dome light kit from Recon that did the same thing. It would stay on while driving the truck. Not so bad during the day, but at night it was intolerable. Recon's customer service was non-existent. After several emails and phone attempts, I gave up and threw it in the garbage. I hope you...
Tom,
I have an '09 F250 with the 6.4L, it has the snow plow and FX4 packages. It sits level front to rear, and the stock tires are 275/65-20. These are a true 33" tall by 10.5" wide tire, (measured with a tape-measure). Hope this helps with your decision.
I agree about the dealer's incompetence. I'm searching for another. Just spoke with a friend who has an '08 F450 with the same issue. Hope somebody figures this out soon.
I'm having the same problem with mine. It has 20k on it and has been to the dealer twice now for this. Their "fix" was to replace the charge-cooler. It didn't make a difference. Let me know how you make out.
LA, my 09 was regenerating at the same intervals. I had my truck re-flashed at the dealer, and now it regens between 900-1100 miles. Go to your dealership and be persistent. It took me 2 visits to get it done.
Got the truck back. New charge-cooler per t.s.b. 08-25-01. Also had everything re-flashed. Truck runs like new, and hasn't gone into regen in over 900 miles now! (Used to regen every 100-200 miles).
I have the same problem on my 09. During heavy rains it will stumble and blow white smoke until I let off the throttle. Took it to the dealer and was told "they found nothing wrong". Imagine that! It happened again yesterday, I pulled the air filter and it was soaked!!! There was water still in...
On my 09, (not sure about the earlier years), it is a paper filter, with the plastic top attached. Fool-proof replacement. Oil is 15 quarts. As far as the brand... it's a personal choice. I am a fan of Amsoil myself.
