    Help Needed Torqshift troubles

Hey all, I have been searching through several forums over the past couple days to see if my problem could be solved. Have not found any posts with similar symptoms that were resolved. So I ask all of you for advice. 2003 F250 2wd 6.0 torqshift. Once engine and trans warm up, stock...

    New 2011 Super Duty Diesel...............

I am guessing that it was because the truck was to be used in a Ford promotion, and International did not build the truck. The, 'I want it my way right now because I said so' thing. Kind of dumb in my opinion, but whatever. I'd have left them on and told them tuff balls, it's my truck.

Question 2WD - Am I the only one?

I have a 'clunk' under my front end when I go over bumps. It has done it since I bought it. I am suspecting sway bar linkage or radius arm bushings. ...have to get around to it one of these days

Question 2WD - Am I the only one?

I am 2wd. I have seen (aka: been a passenger numerous times in) a stock 2wd PSD with Firestone Wilderness A/Ts go places that my previous 4wd Jeep Wrangler lifted 2" with Dayton Timberline M/Ts could not. That is part of what caused me to trade that Wrangler in for my '03 PSD. FWIW: I...

Question Fuel injector electrical plug availability?

It is the injector end. This is for the 6.0L though, so there is no UVC harness.

Question Fuel injector electrical plug availability?

Does anyone happen to know if it is possible to buy just the electrical plug (or pig tail, if you will), for injectors, that connect to the injector harness? My injectors work fine, but a couple have broken plastic bits on the plug as to where the clip has nothing to grab on one side; and once...

    cat delete

Unfortunately, I do not have the stock '03 turbine wheel. A previous owner must have replaced the turbo because I counted 13 vanes the first time I took it apart to clean it (I've had it apart probably 5 or 6 times now total). But it still should sound better than it does right now, even with...

Question Intake manifold to front cover O-ring

If anyone cares to know: it looks to be 41mm OD x 20mm ID x 8mm thick.

photos Eww that can't be good

I knew I should have deleted the thing entirely while I was replacing the HPOP. The exhaust end is pluged and welded (by a previous owner) and the EGR valve was left disconnected by me. I guess it is a good thing I left the EGR valve unhooked and decided to do a random check on that POS...

Question Intake manifold to front cover O-ring

Would anyone happen to know the diameter of that hefty O-ring which goes between the intake manifold and the front cover? Thanks,

    6.0 mystery problem

Anybody figure out what is causing some pedals to not work yet? As in: is it a design flaw, manufacturing defect, or maybe excessive/improper usage, etc.? Was the pedal design changed in later years?

    Longer crank times

Although I do agree that most batteries die fast (a couple years), sometimes they will last longer. My Dad has a '99 SD that had both the original Motorcraft batteries in it until March of this year; never had a problem until one finally started to not hold its charge very well. He only...

    Question Diesel techs:

Well, this dealer (different than where I bought it) claims all the injectors check out fine. They did pull a few codes that match my codes from scantool: P0046 - boost control soleniod circuit range/performance P0102 - mass/volume air flow circuit low input P0113 - intake air temp circuit...

    Question Diesel techs:

The up-pipe end of the cooler was welded shut by a previous owner. However, if the cooler was ruptured it could still be putting coolant into the intake yes. I am going to do an experiment with rerouting the coolant coming out of the oil cooler and delete the EGR cooler all togehter, that way...

    Question Diesel techs:

Truck is in sig. What kind of damage can I do by driving with a known bad injector? What if I take it easy? 26 mile round trip to - from work only, for a couple days until the new injectors arrive. Thanks for any help y'all can give me.

    Removing turbo vanes

I had recondidtioned the turbo while I had it off doing the HPOP about 1000 miles ago. I took the turbo back off and apart this past Sunday; still looks great and vanes work flawlessly (by hand). So I am suspecting the soleniod. I am going to try and bypass the turbo for now so I can atleast...

    Removing turbo vanes

Hey all. I am in need of some quick guidance. Something is wrong with my turbo. It will not spool up (well, you can not hear it spool up or down anymore). You can spin the compressor by hand; there is no extra drag. Compressor and turbine can not contact the housings. Vanes are not siezed...

    Bad injector

You could just sit/kneel/lay on top of the engine like I did during the begining of my HPOP removal. Quite uncomfortable, but it is free. I ended up getting tired of being sore, so I pulled the cab off to finish the job. Let us know how well that creeper works. I have been thinking about...

    Bad injector

They are not that bad to get to, ...if the cab is off. I have not tried it yet with the cab on, but it looks like I will be experiencing this shortly, as I have atleast one going bad. Wish I had the money to replace them all while I had the cab off doing the HPOP.

Help Needed I'm stumped here guys. Could I get some input?

Well, all has been good, ...until now. I think the injector that was going bad is getting a lot worse. I am going to have the dealer scan it with their scanner and tell me which injector(s) is/are underperforming; but probably not until after the holiday. Just today it started acting up...

WOOHOO!! It lives! She started up, yesterday, for the first time since Feb 18th '09. Now all I have to do is finish hooking up a few minor things, and I can take her for a ride.

Question early vs. late injectors, can you mix?

Sent a message to the site's webmaster. They replied back saying that it will not hurt anything. The later version has a coating on a/some internal part(s) to help with lifespan; that is the only difference.

Question early vs. late injectors, can you mix?

I have been serching for various things tonight, and came across the following site and page 6.0L Powerstroke Injectors . Basically, they claim that an injector with white plastic is an early version, and an injector with black plastic is a late version. I have a mixture of both black and...

    Question technical: HP oil rail

Anybody know if the high pressure oil rails have any rubber orings in them? Other than the ones on the plugs that can be removed. I 'cleaned' mine out, and now there seems (to me) to be too much play between the rails and the fittings (nipples if you will) that go into the injectors. Anybody...
