I have had a similar clinking noise in the frontend as well. I have replaced everything and believe i have in narrowed down to the leaf spring bushings. While the dealer will tell you they are non replacable and must purchase a new spring, energy suspension does make replacement ones. Also if...
I would recommend putting some heat where the bolts and threaded into the casing. Those bolts are tightened with lock-tite from the factory, andyou may need a little heat to help break them free. No needto get it red hot, just warm.
I had the same issue on a 2002 F150 that i owned previously. It ended up being the multifunction switch (turn signal) in the steering column. I wouldnt have believed it if I hadnt seen it in the wiring schematic myself. I know it sounds crazy, but worth checking into.
Sorry I cant really help you but just wanted to let ya know your not the only one out there with this problem. I just decided to live w/o the beeper, got tired of trying to trace the wires. Ill post if I happen to stumble on a fix for the problem. Good luck!
I have just recenetly changed my truck over to all Amsoil products, including the trans. The univesal ATF is the only ATf offered for our trucks. Also you may want to double check the type of ATF your truck calls for. Mine called for tha Mercon V only. It specifically said not to use the Merc...
Dont know If anyone has had to buy one recently, but I was lucky enough to have to do so the other day. I was relieved to find out that they are no longer $150 - $200. I called the local dealship and was informed that the sensors have been updated and reworked, and are now only $28 and can also...
How much were the sensors? Curious because Im gonna have to take mine in for the same reason and mine arent covered under warrenty and I dont want to get sticker shock! LOL
Forgot to mention that I had also changed the trac bar bushings as well. The only thing left are the spring bushings, which im told are not replacable, and possibly the spring hangers. Does anyone have a clue what could possibly be wrong. Do I need to up grade to an aftermarket trac bar. I dont...
I am having the same type of problem, except mine is when I make a hard tuner mostly. I have replaced everything in the front end including balljoints, tie rods ( inner and outter) sway bar end links sway bar bushings( both were energy suspension ones) I am at a loss for what else there could...
I use the amsoil 15w40. So far I havent really noticed any increase in fuel milage with its use, but I can tell you that the oil consumption in ZERO with the synthetic. If you use their eA oil filter you can run this for up to 25,000 miles. This is ofcourse with an oil analysis every 10,000...
The best place I have found to but the strobes is www.LSHLights.com You can get the 90w 6 head power supply and 4 tubes with the screw base's and 4 15' section of cables for $190. I have installed several sets of these and theyre the same Galls sells for over $300.
Call me crazy, but it sounds like a very good possibility that the "check engine" light may be comming on for an over boost sitiuation. Especially since he said it seem sto come on more so when he's driving aggressively with it on the top setting.
OK... UPDATE. Just installed the coolant filter kit, 203* t-stat and new upper rad hose. The filter kit was a breeze. The T-stat is giving me a little bit of trouble. Cant seem the get the new housing to quit leaking. It has a ver small seap at the rear of the housing. And, I even bought a new...
I just ordered my 203 stat and housing and coolant filter setup from dieselsite yesterday. Ill post back and let everyone know how difficult it was. Hopefully only a few beers needed for install.
