    i agree. Most of the time just upgraded friction materials will be fine. Unless you are sled pulling or drag racing or have a LOT of horsepower. I think the stock input shafts are rated to 500 or so hp. Not positive on that tho.

    thanks but that is not that much help to me. i already have a factory block heater installed. i know its there and working. i am looking to add a external plug and put that somewhere and then just plug the cord into that. have you seen any of those?

    I am interested in a Marinco plug for my block heater and from what i have read it looks like quite a few people are running a set up similar to this. My question is how hard was it to install and where should i mount the plug? Im not too crazy about drilling a large hole in my bumper. Any ideas...

    All of mine with the exception of my personal trucks are used for fleet for my business thats why i change them often. Still not up to the recomended mileage i just like to to be safe. I got stranded one time. Not again lol.

    thats true. Crumm may know and correct me if i am wrong. i think stock exhaust is good for up to 300hp or so. and for 400+ you need 4"+. (i think)

    I change mine twice a year. Evey 6months. It get a its filters changed and a oil change. I would rather be safe than sorry and i have had them gel up and run poorly before, i dont want to any of my trucks to leave me stranded.

    I like MBRP. I have that on one of my trucks now. It was easy to install. Silverline is also a good brand. I had them once before. Just my opinion. Hope this helps. I am not familiar with Magnaflow diesel exhaust systems, Banks or any of the others. I do know Magnaflow does make good exhaust...

    Gauge selection

    Manual transmission temps arent as big of a deal unless you are towing something extremely heavy or abusing it. From my experiences that is what i know about a temp gauge on a manual. Although i do have one in one truck in my Fleet. I have never noticed any problem with the temp going too high...

    Exhaust...

    MBRP is good. i have used them before and really like them. they make both turbo and cat back. with the turbo back they even make one that you can still put the Cat on if you like in a area that requires it. either turbo or cat back would sound good.

    what kind of egts are you getting? doesnt the edge have internal settings to where you can adjust the fueling and all of its settings to lower the egts?
