I have had 3 sets of the X-terrains on my X in 6 years. The look awesome and dig like Taliban trying to get out of G-Mo. Road Ride in the beginning is great, but after a year, I started to get some balancing issues. Now they sound and feel like tractor tires. They last about 20-30K miles...
You do not have to loosen anything to get the belt off. If you are looking at the belt tensioner (from the front of the truck). There is a Silver pulley to the left of the fan. Towards the bottom there is a square hole that's a 1/2" ratchet will fit in perfectly. I use a 24" Long -1/2 drive...
Went ahead and bought a rebuilt altenator from Autozone with the Lifetime warranty. Cost $160.00 and took all of 5 mins to insall. Then Charged the Batteries real good and now everything seems fine. Getting 13.9V charging and the batteries are hold 12.5 to 12.95 V. This Dang Ford altenator looks...
I will check the belt tonight and look for some codes. The belt looked good and didn't have any oil or anything on it when I pulled the altenator. The Tensioner had pretty good tension when I removed the belt also. But I am ready to try anything at this point!
Thanks
Brett
X is acting up again, looks like I will have to replace something, but what? I think it must be the batteries. The altenator is putting out voltage, but last time I replaced it they said that with the bad diode that it would show voltage but no amps. But I hope that the Autozone test would catch...
I am having issues with the charging system on the X. Tested Altenator and Batteries all tested good, Clean and installed everything, but after a few days the battery light is coming on again. Was wondering if there are any codes for electrical charging system.
Thanks!
FYI: Here is a web-site that I came across researching the Hydrogen Booster. Looks like alot of information, I have not had time to do a lot of reading from it. Let me know if anyone finds anything exciting!:sly
Free-Energy Devices, zero-point energy, and water as fuel
Yes, you are correct. It was battery water/acid from an old battery that I did not use. (They make you fill up your own smaller batteries at Walmart).
Good catch CHP! They are Motorcraft batteries and I got them in Jan 2006. I believe that I seen 36months somewhere on them, when I had them...
Long story short, I tested the altenator, it was OK. Took out and tested the batteries. They tested ok (but the guy testing them, didn't know which color was positive:eek:). I filled the batteries with water, cleaned the post and charged the batt's and re-intalled everything. Said my prayer and...
On the altenator there is a hot wire and a plug with 2 wires. What tells the altenator to start charging. My altenator is good (had it tested) but not sending a charge to the batteries. is there something else I can replace?
Emergency! Son's birthday today and we all can't fit in the little...
Anyone using the Milwaukee cordless 18V batteries? I use mine 1 time a month and I am on the 3rd battery in 3 years. These do not last anything like my Makita did. It appears that something must short inside, because I can measure across the terminals and get 0 Volts. Has anyone seen a fix or a...
I broke the stock Hellwig adjustable bracket in 2. I went to 4wheelparts and they ordered me one from Superlift. I think it is part of their kit. Compared with the stock one from Hellwig, it was twice the size.
Hey Bill, do you know if a stock F-350 4x4 end-links would work? I think it...
Sweet pictures Kevin, Thanks for taking some of the X, we forgot our batteries. I do have a Hi-8 Video that I need some help tranferring into digital format if anyone has any ideas, Then I will post it.
