ProComp tires
I have had 3 sets of the X-terrains on my X in 6 years. The look awesome and dig like Taliban trying to get out of G-Mo. Help Needed Altenator Problems AGAIN
You do not have to loosen anything to get the belt off. If you are looking at the belt tensioner (from the front of the truck). There is a Silver pulley to the left of the fan. Help Needed Altenator Problems AGAIN
Went ahead and bought a rebuilt altenator from Autozone with the Lifetime warranty. Cost $160.00 and took all of 5 mins to insall. Then Charged the Batteries real good and now everything seems fine. Getting 13.9V charging and the batteries are hold 12.5 to 12.95 V. This Dang Ford altenator looks...- dzl_x_4x4

Will a bad altenator throw any Codes
I will check the belt tonight and look for some codes. The belt looked good and didn't have any oil or anything on it when I pulled the altenator. The Tensioner had pretty good tension when I removed the belt also. But I am ready to try anything at this point! Thanks Brett- dzl_x_4x4

X is acting up again, looks like I will have to replace something, but what? I think it must be the batteries. The altenator is putting out voltage, but last time I replaced it they said that with the bad diode that it would show voltage but no amps. But I hope that the Autozone test would catch...- dzl_x_4x4

Will a bad altenator throw any Codes
I am having issues with the charging system on the X. Tested Altenator and Batteries all tested good, Clean and installed everything, but after a few days the battery light is coming on again. Was wondering if there are any codes for electrical charging system. Thanks!- dzl_x_4x4

Yes, you are correct. It was battery water/acid from an old battery that I did not use. (They make you fill up your own smaller batteries at Walmart). Good catch CHP! Long story short, I tested the altenator, it was OK. Took out and tested the batteries. They tested ok (but the guy testing them, didn't know which color was positive:eek:). On the altenator there is a hot wire and a plug with 2 wires. What tells the altenator to start charging. Milwaukee 18V Batteries
Anyone using the Milwaukee cordless 18V batteries? I use mine 1 time a month and I am on the 3rd battery in 3 years. These do not last anything like my Makita did.
