    MBRP Exhaust

MBRP offers three grades. There is an aluminized steel, 409 stainless, and 304 stainless...which is also the order it goes in price lowest to highest. The performance one is the aluminized steel. I have the 409 version on mine and I am happy with it. It has some here and there spots of...

Question 4" or 5" exhaust? Any downfall to 5?

I've got the MBRP 4" turbo back off-road with no muffler and I like it. I actually had the muffler on it for a few months before I ordered the delete...I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. I think you will be very happy with it. Inside, you can hear it, but it isn't bad. Driving normal...

Hate to say it, but coolant loss issue

My 05 Stroke has been a great truck for me...I bought it new almost 7 years and just over 70k miles ago. I have never had any issues and it only went to the dealer once for the new degas bottle decal. The first thing about my truck that I found odd was with the coolant filter. I had read...

    Camper shell

None, the Superduty beds are shaped different than the older beds. The front is quite a bit wider and the cab is taller. It's not to say that you couldn't do it...I have seen it done...but it looked stupid.

Question First Oil and Fuel Filter Change

The International filters ARE proper oem parts...it is an International motor after all...not to mention they are usually cheaper than buying them from Ford. The only difference is the box and the price.

Question First Oil and Fuel Filter Change

Here is how I usually do my oil/fuel filter change. After warming the engine some, 1)Drain oil and remove oil filter 2)Install new filter and close pan drain 3)Start draining fuel from the HFCM drain 4)Fill engine with oil 5)Pull the engine mounted fuel filter 6)Pull the HFCM filter and...

    Tire Wear

Yup...they actually are over inflated. The recommended pressure on the sticker on the door jamb...and the tire itself for that matter...are for when you are hauling at max load capacity. An easy way to find out what pressure you need to run is to get some chalk...like the sidewalk chalk...

    Not hub assembly

If you turn right, you are loading pressure on the DRIVER side...turn left and you are going to load the passenger side bearing. Most times, when you load them with a turn, they will stop making the noise. I'm kinda thinking that maybe you changed the wrong one. There is one other thing to...

Question What did you do to your truck today?

Got some new shoes for the truck...325-60/18 Fusion xti E range tires. Seem to be a nice looking tire, plenty heavy weight rating, and they have to bite better than the BFG Rugged Terrains it had. I still need to get my flares put on...but that will wait for a little warmer weather...

    250 SD break in

look for Jimmi Jammers. I have a set but have so far been too lazy to install them.

    shifter knob

That is exactly how the knob came off on my 2005...I pulled it straight off the stick. That is it...it is not screwed on, just some tight splines. My 87 Ranger was the exact same way, as was the 89 F250 my dad used to have. I replaced the stock knob with a cue ball that I drilled to fit.

Backing Plate (Dust Shield) some call it

Yup, just had to replace the right side on mine as well. My father-in-law works at a dealership, so I got it for about $125 I think. Still, it's a joke that it was designed with two thin stamped sheet plates sandwiched like that...it's just asking it to rust out. It looks like it is only...

Thinks to look for in a lift kit

Replacement leaf springs will help to prevent axle wrap...since wrap is mostly caused by tall lift blocks. But, it may not help it ride better. If you are set on replacing the leaf springs, I would consider a set of shorter lift leafs together with a block, and then add a traction bar to...

    Question Replacing fuel filter

I am in on the 10K group. She gets oil and filter change every 5K, then the fuel filters every other oil change. I keep records of mileage, hours, and dates, but it is just easier for me to remember to change them with every other oil change. Plus, although I've never had any issues with...
