i'm getting out of the air force in May and moving back to my home town Billings,MT. can't wait. texas has been fun but i miss the mountains and winter.:)
hey yogachik of all people i had a salesman try to talk me out of buying a 4X4 diesel. i love my psd and it get better mpg than my 2000 f-150 that was v-6 manual 2wd.
very smooth idle. two problems though the water pump pulley and the dampr such a tight fit the belt wont fit between them. also it so big that the fan will hit it , i dont know if they sell a spacer to move the fan out. i like the dampr so iam going to electric fans
I just bought a fluidampr from summit racing, but i am still waiting on other parts so i can put my engine back together. i'll let you know after i get her running.
Both intake and exhaust have a worn ring on them and seats are good. machine shop said if they grinded them they would be paper thin. he asked if i was using propane. i haven't used propane. i got the truck with 137,000mi it was all stock, and i have keep up the maintance since i have owned it.
i had alot of positive crankcase pressure and got tired of burning oil smell so i pulled the motor and tore it down. the worst cylinder was worn 4 thousanths and the hone marks are still there but the valves are shot, and the seats are good. 190,000mi any thoughts as why my valves are worn out?
Its not but i dont know when it has been cleaned or replaced. There is oil inside the intake where it vents and when disconnected smoke comes out. I was thinking that it maybe restrictive???:dunno
