I get a quick puff in the morning when its cold, but just one puff then its clear. When its really cold (~15F) I will get a very light white smoke for about 2 minutes.
That a good idea...Although the "wet area" seems to be pretty localized...I'll check again in the morning and see what I can find with the engine running...Just have to remember where I put my ear plugs ;) lol
Thanks,
Casey
I was thinking the same thing regarding the HG blowing...I can't imagine that with what I have on the truck I would have blown one. I am going to check the cooler in the morning to make sure its not the culprit...The drops I found on the fuel line are FORWARD of the cooler though...They are...
Hey All,
I just saw a couple of drops of coolant under the front of the truck....got the flashlight out and found there was coolant drops on what looks like fuel lines. These fuel lines are located DIRECTLY next to the driver side negative battery connection to the front of the block.
All...
If it is in fact the pump that is causing the problem and not the high pressure line coming out the side of it here is how to replace...
When you go to get a new PS pump (I got mine from Autozone) Rent a pulley puller. Its a couple of bucks and very simple to use. That will get the pulley...
Good idea on the algacide....
I run Stanadyne Performance formula...helps mileage a touch (1.5 - 2 mpg depending on how I drive) and its peace of mind that maybe i'm helping the motor last longer...

Hey Don,
I know this is an old thread but a month or so ago I drove past a '95 Centurion PSD in Colusa. White, looked real clean and dry underneath.
My little brother just picked up a '95 F150 Centurion (Reg. Cab short bed made into a Crew Cab Short Bed)...REALLY clean conversion, unless...
I just calc'ed mileage on the truck in my sig this mornin...Ran it through both tanks of fuel w/ stanadyne in both tanks...combination city/highway drivin (i'd say 1/3 city, 2/3 highway) avg about 65-70mph on the highway...got me 19.236 mpg! I am very happy with that...Oh, and that is on "TOW"...
Switch to the manuals...The auto hubs are junk...Getting out of the truck in the snow to lock the hubs can be a PITA sometimes, but it's MUCH better than being stuck because you trashed your auto's.
And yes there is NO vacuum for the hubs...they are engaged by movement...The newer trucks have...
There is a drop pitman arm on my truck...Does the stock pitman arm have any drop to it or is it completely flat? I dont have any reason to take th box off other than to check for the crack but maybe the original poster could check it out while hes at it.

I tried to do it the easy way but that didnt work (truck acted like I had done nothing after installing the chip) I took the PCM out of the truck and did what I THOUGHT was a good job of cleaning the contacts...Re-Installed PCM w/ Chip...No Dice, truck was stock....
Figured the chip was no...
