    Tuner..........

well, I installed the H&S expert pro in both of my 250s. So far...very pleased. Improved general daily driving and much improved economy. Overall...dramatically improved cost to operate. I had the SCT on my 6.0s and can't run them down either although my personal experience with the...

Has anyone done a DPF delete on a 6.7?

:) Reckon that's a Canadian adopted thing, lol. 19.5 L/100 = approx 12 mpg US and the 17.2 L/100 = approx 13.7 mpg US...after all the years since this country adopted this system most of us ol timers still need to convert things back to the old system.

    2011 6.7D Fails to accelerate

Def system was acting up on mine ...truck would power down to "limp home" mode and not throw any codes. Put the truck inside where it was warm and it was all good for a cpl weeks...then it would start all over. Ford doesn't acknowledge any issues with this system but I have heard thru the...

    Towing with 3.31 gears

May I beg to differ...I have 2 2011 F250s ..both with 3:31s. We pull a 15000lb trailer 6 days a week with no problems..in fact I would like to have a button on the dash where I could dial down the power in the winter when its dicy roads. Also pulled my 35 5thr over the Rockies last summer with...

Has anyone done a DPF delete on a 6.7?

since Idid the DPF delete my mileage increased by approx 12% plus. Was getting 19.5/100 with stock...now it averages 17.2/100. You can google the conversion to US. Plus we aren't having to fool with DEF additive. Ya gota convince me how we can use that much less fuel but contribute so much...

Has anyone done a DPF delete on a 6.7?

The cheapest I have found is purchasing a pallet at a time...realize this isn't practical for everyone. Also cheaper yet to buy by the barrel...fine if ya have the facilities for it. To the OP...I am planning to remove the DPF and EGR system very soon....we have had considerable issues re: def...

SCT tuner & plans to try to increase fuel mileage

Tadd's SCT didn't improve my fuel economy, period. My SCT is set up almost exactly like Bamas'. I like the improved drivability, ie: shifts are firm, not harsh (gotta help clutchpack life right?) Good holding on downgrades...trans doesn't shop for a gear under load. This is primarily a work...

    Another Mile Stone.......

503,000 tonite when I got out of the driver's seat. Not trying to upstart:stir ya TBar and can't anyhwo, lol. Mine has had a reman installed back in May through a series of misfortunate events. Btw...that's kilometres so equates to approx 300,000miles. All in all it's a good truck and I think...

    getting hard to start

Satellite radio will kill my batteries real quick...a cpl days...one day in the winter if left on when the truck isn't in use. I figured the batteries also but I now make sure to shutoff or disconnect the Sirrius when I park it Be well!

Uh oh--think a hub bearing is going out...

I had a strange noise a bit ago...took the longest time to figure out it was the front wheel bearing (right) as it was intermitent. Finally had the shop hook up their electronic chassis ears n found it. Never had a wheel bearing that didn't get bad real quick n constant before. A couple days...

    4X4 high

I totally agree.....like I said...it can be a learning experience...certainly better ifn one learns from forums like this than to have to experience busted metal from doing things the wrong way. I switched my hubs to Warn manual..a:cost and b: because it should be easier on the drivetrain if...

    A mystery

Dealer has a sensor system they install on the chassis.............it turned out to be a right-front wheel-bearing....imagine.....I nerver had a bearing give intermitant complaints before this. It would kinda stop-up n then free itself.....went on for near 8-10 hours of trial n error. Never had...

    4X4 high

Many years ago, I was a founding member of a 4X4 club....enjoyed the outdoors...rediscovered oodles of trails over mountain-tops and valleys....packed out whatever we took in with us and repaired numerous things we had never heard of..............and grew-up. I wish that on every new-comer and...

    4X4 high

Your 4X4 is working then, lol. That's the front end trying to catch up with the rear end.....ie: the front wheels are suddenly engaged and have had a request to match the speed of the rear wheels.....it's good to try these things out on loose footing and without excessive HP initally.....too...

04 f-250 with glass head lights?

I'm sure there is someone here knows better than I but, I'd bet that you would have to at least change the grill at the same time. There have been postings by others changing their headlights but mostly to the 05 and up style or to Harleys. Someone will be able to answer your question. Be well!

    A mystery

Ball joints are good Bama. I could never let ball joints get that bad they'd ever be making a noise. It (the sound) is coming from a moving part; that's why I was wondering if loose caliper pins would be suspect. I'm on the original brakes on the back (482,000 and change) and the front rotors...

    A mystery

is what I have. I don't know if and how to describe it (the sound). This past few days, about 300 miles, am getting an intermitent noise from the front end. When I'm driving it sounds like the drivers front and the passenger will swear it's from the right front. Almost like a clutch having...

2004 F-250 air shocks or air ride system

I have the Firestone air-lifts on all 3 of my duallys...thinking of putting them in the wife's Explorer. I wouldn't own a PU with out them ever again. My headlights are always on the road. They are rated for 100 pounds of air but have had them up to 150 on several occasions....am lucky I haven't...

    6.0L Questions

Neither of my PSs has ever had a leak to be concerned with...am quite often getting comments about how clean it is under the bonnet. My Dodge with the Cummins is quite another story...hard to keep things clean with all the oil-seapage but still nothing to be concerned with mechanically. Never...

    Defueling at 93 MPH?

Tooo old I am. I have had my duallies up to the 90 mark when passing some so n so that didn't want to be passed but that's my limit anymore, lol. SCTs will also remove the speed limiter. I do enjoy seeing rice-burners get burned tho so keep up the good work, hehe
