    Question EGR Issues

Thanks Dave, this truck is by no means a grocery getter. It pulls 10,000lbs every day. I ended up taking back into the dealer and I was told the fix is to carbon flush the whole system which costs $800 and not covered under warranty because it is a fuel quality problem.

    Question EGR Issues

Hey guys I have a 06 6.0L egr acting up. The truck has been to the dealer twice under warranty in the past 2 weeks for the egr and now its the cause again. I have egr flow codes and the fix the dealer made was remove and clean soot particles from the egr. I would like to do this myself to...

    Question Hard/ no start conditions

Ok Dave. The battery disconnect and reconnect did not allow it to start. It will crank but just no fire. There have been numerous issues with this truck under warrenty and im not convinced the dealer has reflashed accordingly.

    Question Hard/ no start conditions

Will do, the batteries on the E-Series diesels are mounted passenger side on the frame in a drop down box basically a royal pia and very prone to corrosion.

    Question Hard/ no start conditions

Hey guys it has been forever since I have been on the site and my once previous power stroke addiction is coming back :D. I have an 06 E-350 with a 6.0 that cranks forever before it starts. If the key is turned for a few seconds the first try then turned back off and cycled again for a second...

    comment The Revenuers are Coming,

Road tax should be a set limit away from fuel. I think that the secretary of state should record odometer readings each year tax it in a lump sum. Might as well have fees due at the same time, you have to pay fees to register your vehicle, $88 for my truck in Michigan.

    Wasted fuel!

One thing about fasteners is don't go to the hardware. As big joe said I stock up from fastenal and get way better deals. Bolts at the hardware in 100 ct. cost 3 times the amount than a supply company. Plus they usually have everything you need so driving from lowe's to home depot, menards...

    PowerStroke Diesel Being Replaced By?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the next round of tougher emssions is the reason for another motor to be produced. As far as the engine goes I would be very curious to see one. I just wonder why they don't use an inline 6 versus the V8. With the fuel crisis I think a 6 would be more...

    Laugh at the mechanic..

Well you are not the only one with electronic issues. I have been battling a onan generator with a kubota diesel. First it would not start and run, had a short in the circuit board. Now the field in the generator is shorted out and I need to find one. :rant

I Finally Have A Website, Whatta Think?

Looks good Bama, very simple and not to gaudy. One thing is for sure, people use the computer more to find contractors than the yellow pages. I get calls all the time "I saw your website and wonder ----"

    7.3 Fuel Milage, reliability, 2001

Welcome to the site. Some others may be able to help you out since I have not had much time with my 7.3's. One thing is for sure finding a 2001 7.3 with only 55K on it is a blessing. I would seriously get that truck quick if the price is right.

    Winter blend-good riddance

If the winter blend is gone now what is their excuse for the prices. Heating oil should be mostly through with also. Is it high demand? I cannot believe $4.29 is justifible.
