I have 5" mitres....I dont have any prob with water, I dont think you can get the clamps tight enough to hold water in them...I was concerned at first, but after a recent really good rain, I checked and it had all drained out (at least the way mine is set up)
I am guessing from his avatar and those DIY 180's in his sig he isnt too worried about an exhaust brake :) :) :) might save a few degrees on the EGT's with it gutted too...downside is you risk an oil leak if you dont take care of the pedistal/EBPV push rod...oh, and it taking a week to warm up...
