    Banks Big Head

Remove the old wastegate actuator. Bolt BBHA on in place of the old one. Set so that it JUST drops onto the wastegate arm, then take it off, and turn it In/shorter by six full turns. Then stretch it back over onto the wastegate. Easiest to do this using a bit of compressed air on the...

Screamers - LED Running Board lites

If you guys like the led strips of lights, try here: http://www.runninglites.com If you go with regular LEDs like putting 3 or 6 or whatever on the running boards, I recommend Truck-Lite LEDs... and you can get them darn cheap off of Ebay. See my sig. :D

    Banks Bighead

Nice report, Rick! Looks like you saw basically exactly what I saw. For the boost regulator, go with one from Dennis at ITP Diesel (http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?crn=102&rn=280&action=show_detail). You can see pics of it installed on my truck in my sig, in the Performance Mods album...

    Installed a Mag-Hytech Dif. cover

Nice going, Joe. Three different temps on one gauge will be the first I've seen/heard of it. Cool idea. :)

    99 wont idal up

You're referring to the CAP (cold ambient package) idling it up? The CAP acts based on intake air temp and oil temp... possibly one of those two sensors is acting up?

    Banks Bighead

Rick, Glad you got it to work! I did a little research last night and found out some good info. I guess there are three models for PSDs: 24391 Big-Head Wastegate Actuator (stock turbine (i.e. exhaust) housing) 99.5-03 7.3L 24392 Big-Head Wastegate Actuator (Banks turbine housing)...

    Banks Bighead

Rick, I think the big head will work okay on your late 99. The reason is that the first half of the rod is a male threaded extension, sort of like the end of a long thin bolt, and then the rest of it threads onto that part. This means it's also adjustable. It has a little stopper nut on it...

    Banks Bighead

Get it! $50 is a steal. I just installed one (paid full price though:rolleyes: ) along with an ATS housing. I previously only reached 21 psi or so tops.... first timg getting on the freeway tonight when test driving it, made it to 28 psi and then it shifted into OD.:burnit The boost...

    Is http://kensperformancesolutions.com/ a sponsor?

I bought my under-cubby setup of ISSPRO gauges from Kenny, also. Nice guy and good to do business with. Everything I needed all included, and most of it already setup (gauges in pod, wires hooked up/bundled. Good price too... would've been under $300 but being in Cali I got the sales tax, so...

Glad you finally got it fixed, Jukka. Who was so kind to send you a bolt-out? Great thing for a member to do for another.

    Dome light override??

The dome light wire can be found under the sill plate on the driver side. With the door open, look along the door sill plate and pull it straight up in the front. Under there you'll find a wire that's black w/ a blue tracer - it's for the dome light. Throw a toggle switch on it and there ya go.

    Water pump replaced

Nice job! Don't want to make you go "doh!" but... did you switch to the radiator hose that goes AROUND the serpentine belt, rather than through it? ;)

    I'm all smiles

Ugh I remember maybe 6 years or so ago when we went on a two-week camping trip. We left and gas was about $1.19 a gallon... came back to $1.50+... that was the beginning of the insane fuel prices, as I remember it. Course the last two years with diesel have been completely backwards... at...

    New to the scene!

Nope, mine's been a gem so far. It was basically stock when I bought it... you can see I've done a bit of work on it so far. :) Truck is rock solid.... hope to keep it that way.

    New to the scene!

I remember liking the looks and sound of a PSD-equipped Superduty before I knew anything about them.... but I knew I wanted one. Joined TDS back in early-mid '04. Read and read and read all I could about them. Finally was in the position to buy one this past December, and did (see sig :))...

reminder as to why to be Too heavy

True... Most poeple don't realize just how many big rigs are on the road delivering their goods, nonstop, going millions of miles accident-free. They're the best, safest drivers out there. I'd follow along in a pack of rigs before zipping around with the rest of traffic. But boy... sure...

reminder as to why to be Too heavy

Yikes.... that's pretty freakin' terrifying. A good reminder as to why to not ride along side a bigrig... not only for their blind spots, but if they lose it, you're NOT gonna win. :( That audi didn't have a chance.

exhaust tip that is just plain wrong!

That's why I like Overhaulin' - they take good old muscle cars and actually make them BETTER, from the looks to the engine/tranny. Turn out whole new awesome cars, instead of a junk wagon covered up with L.A. bling.
