Well as much of a 6.0L guy that I am, Shorty just ain't holding up. I been chasing injectors and a vibration all year and pretty much got it figured out, had to do with the flywheel being slightly off center. Decided to stick a new rear main seal in...
Finally made time to get head studs and gaskets in shorty, kinda had to, was going through around a gallon of coolant every 100 miles of light towing. Got the engine tore apart early yesterday (started at 3 am :dizzy ) and heads and injectors sent out right away. Once you get the cab out of the...
Yesterday afternoon I had a few service calls to do. Got the first done then headed to the next place, my biggest customer had 2 breakdowns that needed to be fixed by early this morning. Pulled in and opened the trailer door and this is what I found.
That picture actually was after I began...

On my FIL's 03 auto trans, he has some turbo surge, mostly towing a 7k enclosed trailer, between 52 and 68 mph (didn't specify rpm's) so being I'm mostly up on the 6.0's and not the 7.3's, figured y'all would have ideas. I'm thinking maybe wastegate controller. The only mods are a edge evolution...
Bought This 5ver yesterday. We're planning on living in it for a year or two beginning this spring after I get the new shop put up. Probably put it in the shop for a few winter months. And hitch it up to the shorty a time or two for a little vacation in the summer :D Seems like a nice quality...
OK, ok It's not a diesel, its my pa's 03 V10. He's down in Madison, WI with the 21' 5ver for a few days and popped a spark plug out. Threads in head are gone. I realize that this is a fairly common problem. The question is, would it be fine to run it 160 or so miles back home minus one cylinder...
Planning a little trip south for my wife and I to central OK to a friend's wedding in a month, probably going to take a few extra days off while we're at it. I wondered if y'all had any suggestions on places to stop/see things, along the way, or in the area. Prolly going to be another beetle...
Just thought I'd give y'all the heads up, I've been running the RC for a couple weeks and now the official release today at 10 pacific time (crashed mozilla's servers)
They're tryin' to set a record for most software downloads in 24 hours, what more would you expect than a big CRASH...
I figured I should check in with y'all, being I haven't posted in a while...just been really busy, and Kari and I were married back on the 27th of April :)...took a nice 3 weeks off and now am playing catch up here at the shop  (busiest time of the year)...I just figured SOME of you might...

The truck would hardly turn over, I broke down and plugged it in :D
I decided to tidy up the 2 air pressure gauges mounted under my dash (for the airbags) as well as install a fuel pressure gauge (along with the regulated return) and did a little test fit with the 3 under dash pod, found that the shift lever hits the pod in R and 1 :(
Does anyone have any...
