I recently put the slotted rotors from 4wheel parts on my X due to crazing from the bigger wheels and tires not to mention the 4" lift. So far so good and I haven't noticed any difference in braking.
And what is the difference (other than the stated 5K lbs)between "displacement weight and pulling weight" The tag on my hitch states displacement is 10K and pulling 5K. On Tongue weight under displacement is states 1000 and pulling tongue is 500. ??? Now after adding the Airlift bags does this...
Anyone have an exhaust brake on their X? Banks won't fit, is there one that does? If I can't find one I'll have to sell my X and get that King Ranch I've been ache'n for. Shoot, Darn, Crap!!!
I just did this on my 00 X. They did install the upgraded smaller wheel in the turbo for faster spoolup and Ottomind. Works great! Banks said the exhaust brake would not fit so I couldn't do it and I didn't check with other manufactures yet, but then I don't tow anything more than 4K. Call banks...
Mine shows me I have 100 more miles before empty when my Empty light comes on. The only thing I use it for now is the outside temp. The milege program doesn't even work right. It might be the 35" tires?
Without doing the math I'd say around 4.56 or even 5.13's might get you close with that kind of meat. Definately do both ends, if you don't the next sound you will hear when engaging the 4x4 will be the draining of your bank account and a mandatory change of drawers. I've been told 35's are max...
