i don't think you get what im saying. i had to use a filter that is listed for the 2004-2007 trucks for my 2008. the filter that was correct for the 2008-2010 will not fit my truck with the pan that came from the factory on my truck.
So I have never changed the trans fluid in my 2008. I know what's wrong with me. I'm all over everything else. I dont know why i avoided the trans. i just turned 100K miles. i've owned the truck since it was new and so its life has really not been that hard. anyway i dropped the pan and...
I have an Autometer, Ultra lite series, Pyrometer and am looking to install a trans temp gauge. The Ultra lite seriies has 2 types. One goes up to 250 degrees the other to 280 degrees. I have never had a trans temp gauge and am looking for some help as to which one I should use. The gauge...
Different oil does react differently. I use to loose a quart of oil between oil changes when I used synthetic in one of my trucks. If I used petroleum based, no use at all. It has to do with the size and shape of the oil molecules and the clearances of the rings and seals in your motor.
Can't most hand held programmers adjust for different tire sizes? I know the Hypertech programmer on my '02 does. If you don't have any mods to your truck I would get a tuner that will correct for your tire change. You will be able to use one of the tunes to increase performance so you won't...
I agree.
I did not realize that my '08 did not have the block heater until I was driving off. When I asked about and "engine heater", the sales guy thought I was talking about an in cab heater.
On my 7.3 I would plug it in when it got 40 degrees F or below. It made a huge difference...
What year truck is this for? My '08 came with a 6/100K mile engine warranty, 5/60K remainder of drivetrain warranty, and a 3/36K complete. I was happy with that.
Thats awesome.
I just reset my tripmeter today, first time putting in fuel since I bought it. It cleared my mileage reader to 0 as well. I drove about 20 miles and was getting low 14's when I parked.
I am still curious to know whether or not your tune can be detected once removed.
Sweet. Try not to race at every opportunity and give us some real world mpg #s.
Do you know if the tune you have can be removed and undetected by Ford?
I have an '02. I have run a 4" exhaust from the turbo back. It has a muffler, but it is straight through. Not much to it, so I doubt it does much "muffling". I installed and EGT gauge at the same time. I do recomend doing this. The truck really is not that much louder in the cab. Outside...
