    coil over conversion

    They sell kits to do this, but they're VERY expensive. I, personally, don't see the point. Leaf springs are always going to be a lot stronger. Mine has coils, but if I ever have any problems with the front end it's getting changed to leaf springs.

    Lift question

    It is. That was a truck we had bought with a smashed font end and when we fixed it, we already had a set of orange turn signals and didn't care how they looked(just and XL crummy, anyways). The friend of mine that bought it doesn't care either. It does have the 02-04 headlights though.

    We just put a revtech 6 inch lift and 37x13.50 Toyo MT's on a friend of mine's '03 F350 a few weeks ago. He hasn't had any problems or complaints. Here's a picture of it: He doesn't have a front bumper on it because he wants to either get a painted bumper for it or build a custom one.

    The guy at les schwab here in town told me that if it came with 17's from the factory (which my '05 did) they'll be alright, but if it came with 18's, they have bigger brakes in back and 17's won't fit. A friend of mine with an '07 with 18's told me the same thing, but I'd check the tire stores...

    I'm wondering if the DPF could be to blame with their early flame-thrower problems, and it kinda looks like the fire started underneath the truck, but it's not burnt around the exhaust tips. Maybe some junk got stuck to the filter and caught fire during regen mode? It doesn't say what caused it...

    You'd have to have a pretty crappy paint job (MAACO, perhaps) to strip paint off of a body with a pressure washer or a steam cleaner. We have a pressure washer here that we use all the time that has never peeled paint off of a vehicle, and I've never seen a car wash that didn't have a pressure...
