    Loud Squeel Noise Under Dash

Have you added or repositioned anything on the outside of the truck. Maybe change d or added an antenna. Anything that would affect airflow over and around the cab. If so, you may have created an area where a harmonic could develop and create the noise your hearing. I know ya' said it was...

    Hub assembly prices?

Thanks for the heads up on this thread Tail_Gunner. I installed a 99.5 hub on my early 99 using the early 99 rotor. TailGunner is right, there is about an 1/8' difference in the hub offset, not rotor diameter. All I had to do to make the early 99 rotor work with the 99.5 hub was to shim the...

    PCM upgrade

If I remember correctly, the California trucks have an electronic glow plug module rather than just a solenoid like non-California trucks. I believe that's why the PMTn XLEn series PCM's aren't compatible............

got my brothers 99... performance questons

First and foremost get a good set of gauges and you're on the right track with a Tymar intake..............then I'll put my vote in for a one of Jody's multi-position http://www.dp-tuner.com/ chips I've got one of his six positions...........lot's of power and low EGT's...

    front brakes

Remove two bolts holding the caliper on. The pads will stay in place in the bracket that the caliper bolts onto. Just roll 'em to the side and the pads will come right out. You'll prolly have to push the caliper pistons back a littel, Just use a C-clamp and one of the old pad to push the...

Changing Rear Disc Brake Rotors on a Daullie

I bought mine from a local auto parts store "Arnolds Motor Supply". Looks like they might go by "Auto Value" in Texas. A little on the pricey side.............$46.00 plus tax, but it worked slick. Here's a link to Lisle Tools. They specialized in automotive tools and products.

Changing Rear Disc Brake Rotors on a Daullie

Keep in mine this is a duallie, not a SRW. Well, had to go out and buy a special locknut tool for the rear axle hub locknut. It was a Lisle 28000. Ratcheting Lock Nut Tool Double-Ended for Both Sizes of Ratcheting Style Lock Nuts. Two tools in one! Small end fits Ford 1986 to 1994 light...

Changing Rear Disc Brake Rotors on a Daullie

Has anyone changed the rear disc brake rotor on a duallie? If so what has to be done to get the rotors off? Do I need to take the hub apart/off. Do I need any special tools? Haven't looked yet just gettin' ready to start.

    Difference between 99 and 99.5?

Sounds to me like your truck was ordered with the "cold weather delete option". It was an option available when the 99 Superdutites first came out. The option was eliminated fairly early on and hasn't been available for years. Here's a link to a little history lesson: Cold Weather Delete Option

    Preferred Guages

Sounds like whoever told you that the fuel pressure would be really high is cornfused.............Get a 0 -100PSI electric fuel pressure gauge for your pillar. A 0 - 1600* pyro is about right if you go pre-turbo. Pre-turbo seems to be the most recommended way to install.

    idle speed increase?

Since you have a 6 speed instead of an automatic tranny, you'd have to set the emergency brake with the truck in neutral and then wait a few minutes for it to idle up. All Superduties 99 and newer will idle up under the right conditions.
