    if you disconnect the vgt actuator the turbo will eventually stick in that position and if you go to hook it back up it will be stuck and will have to be removed and cleaned.

    Fuel leak

    order a new fuel pressure regulator kit.i comes with all the new stuff.sometimes the fule pressure reg. spring gets weak and will cause lower fuel pressure so i beleive that the kit is the best way to go instead of just a new seal.

    the dieing thing could be from the high pressure oil pump is consuming all of the oil in the high pressure oilpump resivor before the low pressure pump can fill it up.this is usually caused by exsesive oil pump gear clearance.a new set of low oil pump gears might fix it.as for the od light...

    1990 f250 diesel emergency!!!

    it should.regulat it down to 125-150 psi.also check and make sure that you dont have any fuel leaks in the fuel return system.they are the rubber hoses that t off of the top of the fuel injectors.any kind of fuel leak will cause this engine to be dificult to start

    id bet its either the hose that connects the egr cooler to oil cooler or the shut off valve to the heater hose.

    they seem to work ok.they just bump the line pressure up and can exstend the tcc lockup.its like a external shift kit.

    heated seats

    if you can find the connector for the heater grid in the seat.unplug it and do a resistance test.more than likely the wire is burnt into where the grid is tucked into the groove in the seat foam.there not to exspencive and fairly easy to change.

    if it passes the buzz test that just means the electrical part of the injector is functioning,the mechanical part of the injector could be failing.

    you need to get the codes read and find out what hole is missing.i have a o4 engine in my shop that had a popping noise in the intake.did a compression test and didnt have any on one of the holes.pulled the valve cover off and checked the valve train for that cylinder and found the bridges off...

    you need to buy a new cup.clean the matting surfaces with brake clean.put red thread lock on the outide of the cup and use a old injector to drive it inl.dont forget to remove the glowplug and crank the engine over to blow out the coolant out of the cylinder.hope this helps.i have the remover...

    if there is a leak i can be found with a proper air test.you can remove the icp sensor and screw in a air fitting,install a test harness on the ipr and connect it to the battery to supply 12 volts to the ipr to close the bump port on the high pressure pump and apply shop air to the high pressure...

    if a glow plug is bad it will set a code in the pcm.have a glow plug on demand test done and see if it spits out a code.the vehicle might need a reflash done for the cold start issue.does the vehicle have a block heater on it.if so plug it in and see if it helps the problem
