    Need a new HPOP

Depends on your budget and intentions. A T500 or Adrenaline are good for a stock to mild truck. The SRP1 has basically no support at this point and the reliability record isn't that great. The Honeybadger jr is fairly new to the market but should be on par with what the SRP1 did. Beyond that...

    Question parallel or series

Neither. All four corners have their own wire. If your going aftermarket you can do series, parallel or a combination of both depending on your gear and how you want to load the amp.

Question Swap a 7.3 into newer truck

IIRC Double Overtime was a 05 converted to 7.3 but there's not much stock about that truck or engine. Your basically going to need to find a complete truck so you can swap the engine, trans and all electronics.

    Ball joint reinstall problem

Just got done fighting the same issue on the D60 I am rebuilding for my 95. After breaking a flat impact screwdriver socket trying to hold the lower and sitting my 00 ontop of the axle for weight, I just used a 1/2 impact with a swivle. So much for torquing them but atleast their tight.

Question 2001 axle same as what other YR

I haven't looked at the build list for the 5.4 but a lower ratio on a smaller motor seems logical to me. Might make it a bit harder to find tho. The other thing I forgot to mention is the chassis cab trucks have the mounts in a different place so make sure you get a axle from a truck that had a bed.

Question 2001 axle same as what other YR

Early 99 axles are special, but 99.5-04 will bolt up. What you need to watch out for is matching the gear ratio and around 01 the switched from the Dana 50 to the 60. Either will bolt up but the drive shaft is a different length. SRW trucks came with 3.73 gears but your 4.10 tag makes me wonder...

Question Any thoughts on air bag suspension lifts?

It's one of those things where if you have to ask you probably can't afford it. Last I heard it was around $7-8k.

How to pull the side fuel tank

You need a fuel line puller. You can pull the lines with the tank and bed in place but it's not easy. The tool slips over the line, you apply pressure on the tool away from the line and pull the line out. I would recommend getting away from the quick connects and just putting in a piece of new...

    Auto versus Lock hubs ????

The auto hubs are vacuum actuated and lock when the dash switch is used. The manual lock position is there because the vacuum system sucks and has a habit of leaking. Of course you won't know about the leak until the hubs didn't lock when you thought they were locked.

    Transfer Flow Aft Tank

Now you just need to find the matching 40ga mid ship tank. Having 85ga under the bed is great.

On my 2000, there is a green wire taped to the trailer harness near the spare tire for a third brake light.

how to lift a 7.3 safely?

You must be weighing a full fuel tank too. It's about 920LB dry.

    2002 superduty balljoints

Wiggling them doesn't always work. I replaced mine when I put my Dynatrac kit on. Ball joints were stiff, but as soon as we hit them with a hammer all the rust that was holding them together came out.

Question Mexico bound what to pack

Are you going mainland or Baja? If mainland, you need a vehicle permit to go past the border towns. Don't bring any weapons. Do bring an extra fuel filter and spare tire. Bring some empty gas cans so you can bring back some of their inexpensive fuel. Fan belt, water, oil, duct tape, flash light...

    Question new tire problems

Just cause you don't see any play in the ball joints dosn't mean they aren't bad. I replaced mine when I did the Dynatrac freespin kit, buddy that was helping me thought they felt fine and should be left alone. When we went to remove them all the rust that was keeping them from moving came out...

    Question abs reprogramming

Get yourself an AutoEnginuity scanner. It's mainly for diagnostics, but you can adjust tire size up to a 40" IIRC.

    Alternator replacement

You don't need any special tool for removing/replacing the belt. Just a 1/2" breaker bar in the tensioner on the passenger side and slide the belt off.

    Question powerlock "weak"

If you have a little time and some basic tools, you can fix the locks for almost nothing. It is usually the resistor in the power lock that dies. The resistor is in the lock so if the switch is held down, the motor dosn't die. What I did to my passenger lock about 3 years ago, and just...

    bent yoke removing ujoint

I have a bearing going bad and decided to fix it with a Dynatrac free spin kit and new ball joints. Long story short, first time doing ujoints bent the yoke on the driver side inner. Talked to the local ford dealer in Hanford, said they could only sell it as part of the axle for $500. (pn...

    Remote Start

You don't need a 20s delay start with the viper, it can monitor the wait to start light for glow plug warmup.

    Remote Start

Yes, but you must leave the truck out of gear and connect a nutural safety switch to prevent startup while in gear.
